HYDERABAD - Election authorities Wednesday issued

notice to Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister N. Raghuveera Reddy for allegedly violating the model code of conduct.

The minister was served the notice by the returning officer for holding a

meeting with lawyers in the Kalyandurgam court premises in Anantapur

district.

The minister has been asked to submit an explanation. He is the first minister to receive a notice for alleged poll code violation. The state is going to polls April 16 and 23.

Raghuveera Reddy was also slapped a notice by the Election Commission last year when he allegedly made derogatory remarks about the poll panel.
