Giraud expects to be ‘Idol’ trivia question
LOS ANGELES — Matt Giraud says he expects to see his name on a trivia card — the first “American Idol” contestant to get a judges’ reprieve when the audience vote went against him.
Giraud couldn’t be rescued this week, when the 23-year-old piano player from Kalamazoo, Mich., again came in last in the viewer tally and was bounced from the Fox TV singing contest.
In a teleconference Thursday, Giraud declined to pick the next “Idol” from among the four remaining contestants. He likes to joke that he’ll be brought back, Giraud said.
