Allahabad Police recover arms

SASHA KHADI - Allahabad Police have arrested three people and seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition from them.

The arrested persons hail from Sasha Khadi village, which falls under the Bara Police station.

Chandra Prakash, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Allahabad said the recovery included 250 kilograms of ammonium nitrate used in making explosives.

He also said that 400 detonators and 20 meters of fuse wire was recovered.

Kallu, one of the arrested, said he was driven by financial considerations to commit the crime.

Police fear the explosives were meant for Maoists. (ANI)
