NEW DELHI - An Air India flight to Hyderabad made an emergency landing here Monday, an hour after taking off from the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The airline said all passengers were flown to their destinations in another aircraft.

“We have sent all passengers to Hyderabad and Tirupati in another aircraft,” said an Air India official.

The Delhi-Hyderabad-Tirupati Air India flight 942, with 75 passengers on board, made the emergency landing at 11.40 a.m. when the pilot reported a technical snag, according to a spokesperson of the Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) that operates the Delhi airport.

There were some problems in the hydraulic system of the aircraft, he said.

An Air India spokesperson said the pilot had decided to come back to Delhi midway as a precautionary measure as he suspected a technical snag.
