Agriculture, livestock prices mostly trade lower
CHICAGO — Agriculture futures mostly dropped in trading Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for September delivery slid 6.75 cents to $5.155 a bushel, while September corn tumbled 7.25 cents to $3.2225 a bushel and soybeans for August delivery sank 22.5 cents to $10.25 a bushel. September oats were unchanged at $2.115 a bushel.
Meanwhile, beef and pork futures traded mostly lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
August live cattle dropped 0.40 cent to 83.07 cents a pound, and August feeder cattle fell 0.65 cent to 102.30 cents a pound. August lean hogs slipped 0.15 cent to 63.55 cents a pound, but August pork bellies jumped 2 cents to 62 cents a pound.
