NEW DELHI - Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani Monday expressed his desire to retire from politics.

He made this remark during a visit to the Udupi Pejawar Math here, Swami Vishwesh Teerth, the spiritual leader of the math, told IANS.

But he advised him not to be away from politics.

The swami said: He (Advani) came here on a religious visit. While chatting, he expressed his desire to retire from politics. But I suggested him not to take any hasty decision, the swami said.

He advised Advani to continue in politics as the country and party needs him.

Advani’s latest gimmick is meeting Pejawar swamiji to seek his blessings and tell him that he wanted to “distance himself from politics!”The swami persuaded him not to retire! So Advani out of deference to thae swami’s advice would NOT retire!
