Advani congratulates Sonia Gandhi, fails to make contact with PM

NEW DELHI - The Bharatiya Janata Party’s losing Prime Ministerial candidate, L.K. Advani, made a telephone call to UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and congratulated her on the combine’s victory in the 2009 elections.

Sources said that he also made a phone call to the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, but was unable to get through.

The sources said that Advani was told that Dr. Singh was busy in a meeting. Advani then left a message of congratulations for Dr. Singh. (ANI)
