Advani begins election campaign in Jharkhand

JAMSHEDPUR - The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) senior leader L.K. Advani kicked off his election campaign in Jharkhand Friday.

Advani, while addressing a rally here Friday blamed the Congress for compromising the internal security of the country and taking no steps to curb rising prices.

Advani also reminded the people that it was the BJP government at the centre which had carved out a separate Jharkhand state from Bihar in 2000.

The BJP has no MPs in the Lok Sabha from Jharkhand.

The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be held in two phases April 16 and 23 in Jharkhand for 14 seats.
