Top-selling vehicles through Cash for Clunkers

The government posted new data late Friday on the government’s Cash for Clunkers rebate program. Here’s a look at the top-selling new vehicles through the program when multiple engine options, flexible-fuel vehicles and hybrid versions are taken into account.

Cash for clunkers did nothing to improve either American car sales or the environment. All it did was destroy 700,000 running cars, many in good condition. These cars should have been given to car donation charities and either sold or given to the poor.
