A donkey ride to file nomination

AGRA - While others arrived in flashy cars, a Lok Sabha candidate came riding a donkey to file his nomination papers for the Agra reserved seat.

Janwadi Socialist Party’s Akhilesh Kumar Diwakar came all the way from his home town Etah riding on a donkey Friday, evoking much amusement.

Diwakar, a former soldier, and his donkey were both heavily garlanded. But the police refused to allow the donkey into the Agra collectorate’s office.
