Murder charges for 4 in Wash. Wal-Mart shooting

TACOMA, Wash. — Four people are facing murder charges in connection with the slaying of an armored car guard as he carried a money bag out of a Washington state Wal-Mart.

The Pierce County prosecutor’s office on Thursday charged two suspects with first-degree murder and first-degree assault and robbery. Two others were charged with first-degree murder and first-degree robbery.

Deputy Prosecutor Mark Lindquist says the defendants entered not guilty pleas during a hearing in Pierce County Superior Court.

Security guard Kurt Husted was shot in the head Tuesday afternoon while leaving a bank branch inside the Wal-Mart in Lakewood, a Tacoma suburb. The same bullet also wounded a customer.
