NASCAR suspends 3 for substance abuse violations
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — NASCAR has suspended three crew members for violating its toughened substance abuse policy.
The three were suspended for violations at Bristol Motor Speedway two weeks ago.
Suspended were Richard Henninger, a crew member for David Ragan at Roush Fenway Racing, and Gary St. Amant and Mike Hennessy of Tatman Motorsports. That team fielded a Truck Series entry for Brett Butler at Bristol.
NASCAR has now suspended 10 crew members this season under its toughened drug policy. Jeremy Mayfield is the only driver to be suspended since NASCAR began random testing this year.
