28 killed in Iraq suicide bombing

BAGHDAD - At least 28 people were killed and 50 injured in a suicide bomb attack on the Iraqi police in central Baghdad Thursday, the interior ministry said.

A suicide bomber blew himself among a crowd of policemen gathered at a road in Elwiyah area to distribute aid to displaced families, the ministry said. Twelve policemen were among the dead.
