ISLAMABAD - The Pakistani police have arrested 21 suspected militants in a search operation on the outskirts of the Dera Ismail Khan city in North West Frontier Province (NWFP), a media report said Saturday.

The suspected militants are from the Dir and Swat regions of the country where the Pakistan Army has launched a final push against the Taliban, the Online news agency said.

The city has witnessed a resurgence of violence, in which many people have died in bomb attacks.
