Coal train derails near Atlanta, no one hurt

UNION CITY, Ga. — Seventeen cars from a coal train have derailed and tipped over in Georgia.

The cars damaged a section of CSX train tracks near Union City, about 20 miles south of Atlanta.

The train was not carrying hazardous materials, and no injuries were immediately reported.

Several railroad crossings in the area were closed because of the derailment.
