ISLAMABAD - Fourteen people were killed and several injured Friday when a suicide bomber exploded at a funeral prayer in Pakistan’s restive North West Frontier Province, Geo TV reported.

The blast occurred near Shobra hotel at Dera Ismail Khan when hundreds of people were attending the funeral prayer of Sher Zaman, a man shot dead a day earlier, the channel quoted police sources as saying.

Witnesses said the blast took place close to Imam Bargah Kotli Imam Hussain. All markets in the area immediately closed down as the explosion fuelled tension and panic.
