14 killed in Bangladesh bus accident

DHAKA - At least 14 people were killed and several more wounded in a road accident Friday in Bangladesh’s southeastern Feni district, the police said.

A passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch after hitting a tree on a busy highway at Mohammad Ali Bazaar, 131 km southeast of Dhaka.

Thirteen people died on the spot and 12 others were injured, police said. One of the injured succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital, a police officer said.
